Position Overview

We currently have an opening in our Northport, Alabama office for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our sales team in the role of Regional Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will be results driven, well-organized and professional, with a proactive approach to his/her work. This role is instrumental in providing support to our sales team and will also require strong customer service and product promotion skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is up to the challenge of making a presence in the assigned territory and wishes to grow within a company. This is an entry- to mid-level position with a salaried pay structure.


Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned geographic sales area to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives
  • Collaborate with the VP Sales & Marketing to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines
  • In conjunction with the VP Sales & Marketing, develop and execute a business plan for the territory
  • Establish and manage effective programs to coach, appraise and train outside agencies
  • Actively create new leads and opportunities
  • Provide quotes and information to customers, agents, and other departments in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the market, key customers and competitors
  • Participate in industry events by attending trade shows/association programs
  • Travel within territory - extensive travel may be required (must have a valid driver’s licence)

Requirements

  • Post secondary education in a business, technical or sales related field
  • 3-5 years of sales experience
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships and build rapport with others
  • Ability to master technical specifications of our products
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to organize, prioritize, and has excellent time-management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a high standard for exceptional work and customer service
  • Proficiency with MS Office and other computer applications
