Position Overview

We currently have an opening in our Northport, Alabama office for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our team in the role of Assistant Maintenance Manager.

As our ideal candidate you are a self-starter, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering the highest level of customer service and professionalism at all times. This role is responsible for maintaining a successful maintenance program that includes preventative maintenance, repair and improvement of facility equipment and machinery, and assistance with improving plant and facility safety.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and monitoring performance expectations for the maintenance team, reinforcing and correcting behavior as necessary
  • Providing training and development to maintenance employees (including coaching and mentoring)
  • Leading preventive & predictive maintenance/process reliability
  • Participating in and/or leading capital project initiatives
  • Identifying safety, environmental, quality, and production concerns/issues
  • Collaborating with the production team to maximize productivity, minimize cost, and reduce waste

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or higher
  • Experience within an industrial environment considered an asset
  • Passion for safety with exceptional leadership capability in improving safety performance
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and PLC programming
  • Proven expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methods with the ability to take corrective action to prevent reoccurrence(s)
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite of products, with an intermediate level of proficiency in Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all employees
  • Ability to work within different shift schedules and be flexible with temporary schedule changes, work on holidays, weekends, and overtime as required to ensure the needs of the business are met
