Position Overview

Our manufacturing facility in Burlington, Ontario is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our company in the role of Engineering Product Designer. Preferred applicants will have successfully completed a minimum 3-year Mechanical Engineering program. Strong project management skills, as well as trained experience in 2D and 3D CAD are required. Supervisory experience would be an asset. A positive attitude and teamwork mentality are essential.


  • Assist with development of new product designs
  • Create, control, and maintain Bill of Materials
  • Maintain production and specification drawings
  • Work on plant equipment design & modifications
  • Produce drawings for sales department within established deadlines
  • Perform design calculations & product testing
  • Troubleshoot and assist with problems
  • Continuous improvement of existing products and procedures


  • College diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the design of mechanical components and assemblies
  • Detail-oriented
  • Highly motivated with the ability to self-manage and work independently
  • Accountable for results
  • Excellent time management & organization skills
  • Reliable, consistent, & focused
  • Must be trained and have extensive knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D software (Inventor preferred)
  • Must have full working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook
