Position Overview

King Luminaire, a division of StressCrete Group located in Jefferson, OH, is seeking a Procurement Manager to expand and develop our existing purchasing department. The ideal candidate is a reliable self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to provide quality results. Above all, the individual must have a willingness to learn and have a strong desire to be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials and components for the company.
• Maintain material and component Lead Times, ROL’s, ROQ’s, etc. in ERP system.
• Develop and conduct regular evaluations of current and potential suppliers. Evaluate based on quality, cost, delivery performance, service, financial strength, lead-time, technical ability, flexibility, development, management approach, geographic location, environmental regulation compliance.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Source and engage reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Attend tradeshows and industry events for the acquisition of new vendors and suppliers of materials and components.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for optimal cost, delivery times and terms.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve issues that arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, prices, and delivery conditions to anticipate future material availability; directs purchasing accordingly.
• Develop internal relationships and collaborates with Sales, Customer Experience, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Shipping/Receiving departments to maximize efficiency.
• Develop strategies to maximize efficiency, improve quality, and lower costs.

Requirements

• Some post-secondary education (college, university, etc.).
• At least five years of buying or purchasing experience in manufacturing setting required with supervisory experience preferred.
• At least five years of experience with an ERP management system required; Seradex or similar ERP system preferred.
